ALPACA 18
Alpaca 18 is made of 100% pure Alpaca in natural, undyed colors. Use this thread as you would any normal yarn. It is strong and will not fray easily and is great to use for animal fur, beards and hair. If desired, you may brush it with a Bunka brush or toothbrush to fluff it up to maximize the furry effect. For needlepoint it is used on 12-16 count and for cross stitch on 11 count Aida. Each card has 12 yards.

ANGORA
Angora is a luxurious furry yarn that is 100% Angora yarn. Beautiful beards, hair and animal coats, especially if you want a fluffy, furry look, are created with this yarn. Use lengths that are no longer than 12 inches as you do not want to cause it to wear as you stitch. Long stitches are preferred if you want a very furry effect as fewer of the hairs of the thread will be pulled into the canvas. Angora is used on 10-14 count needlepoint and on cross stitch 7 count. Each card has 7 yards.

Gumnut - Tulips is a natural mohair/wool mix (50%/50%). It comes in 130 shades and is dyed to match Gumnut Buds and Daisies. Try mixing these fibers for varying effects! Each skein has 25 meters.

PATERNAYAN
A loosely twisted stranded yarn made from 100% virgin wool. It is carefully dyed to produce a beautiful range of 417 colors. These can be used to shade nicely! Trebizond is a shiny, twisted filament silk with a Z- twist, approximately the same weight as #5 perle cotton. It works beautifully on 18 mesh, but is not recommended for 13. Trebizond has a tendency to unravel a bit at the end, so no more than 18 inch lengths of thread is recommended for stitching. Maintain the twist of the thread to enhance the sheen. Spool has 10 meters.

This thread can best be described as a wispy fringe. It has pieces of transparent fiber that give a glistening effect. Do not drag this yarn across the canvas. The glistening effect of this yarn is more pronounced with long stitches, as less of the fringe is pulled into the canvas. Arctic Rays also makes great French Knots! Card holds 8 yds.

Crystal Braid has an unique icy pearl look that shimmers. It is a very sturdy yarn and will not unravel or fray easily. There are no special cautions you need to take with this yarn and it can be used wherever you would use any #12 braid. Card holds 10 yds.

A nice furry yarn with a hint of shine that does not over power the fur part. This thread is best used for long stitches and does not need to be fluffed up or brushed, however if you feel that you need to brush the Fancy Fur use a very gentle brush, like a tooth brush. FUZZY STUFF
Exactly as the name implies, Fuzzy Stuff is really fuzzy with a shiny glint to it. There is really no need to brush this thread as it is fuzzy all by itself. You can basketweave with this thread but you will get a better and fuzzier effect by doing random long and short stitches. Fuzzy Stuff is used on 14-18 count canvas and for cross stitch on 7-10 count. Each card contains 15 yards.

MANDARIN FLOSS
This is a six strand bamboo floss with a wonderful soft hand, similar to silk. It has a semi-matte finish so you can use it for contrast against areas done in cotton perle or floss. Stitch with it just as you would cotton floss. It's also excellent for French Knots, Turkey Work, tassels and twisted cords. Card holds 20 yds.

NEON RAYS+
As wonderful as Neon Rays is, here is Neon Rays Plus. The same width rayon ribbon but we have taken out four rayon filaments and added four metallic filaments. This gives the rayon an added sparkle along with its great sheen. Works well for tent stitch, longer straight or diagonal stitches even French Knots. As with any rayon fiber securing the beginning and trying off when finished are important as rayon fibers can slip out easily. A laying tool is recommended.

PATENT LEATHER
Patent leather is a 1/16" wide thread, designed to look like shiny leather! The most important thing about working with Patent Leather is to make sure that you lay it front and back. Keeping it laid on the back will make it much easier to work with and make the front lay perfectly flat. It's best used on 12-14 count canvases or for long stitches on 14-18 count canvas. Patent Leather may be tent stitched on 18 count with difficulty.

Snow is a opalescent synthetic thread. It is soft and very easy to work with - it is a good alternative to a more rigid metallic thread when you want a little sparkle in your work. It is similar in weight to #5 cotton or six strands of floss. It tends to pick up the colors used around it. Try it for decorative stitches as well. Each skein is 10 yds.

VERY VELVET
This is a fuzzy, beautiful velour yarn. It maintains its shape and thickness throughout its length. Use a rather large needle and a short tail. This size is a little tight on 18 count when doing a tent stitch. You might want to use the Petite Very Velvet for basketweave and this size for any long stitches. Card holds 10 yds

SPARKLE RAYS
Sparkle Rays is a neon ribbon that glows in the light rather than the dark. There are small speckles of metallic along the length of the neon colored ribbon. It will unravel past the end of the needle so short tails are called for. Be careful to lay Sparkle Rays as it is a ribbon and any twisting will detract from it appearance. Card holds 10 yds.

This is a tightly braided 4 ply metallic that is very easy to use. It can replace troublesome blending filament since it is easier to control. One strand of Sparkle! Braid equals about two strands of blending filament and makes a good accompanying thread with cotton or silk fibers. It also works well for needlepoint, 2 strands for 18 mesh canvas. It has a wonderful sparkle that shows up well either blended with other fibers or used alone. Makes also beautiful french knots and twisted cords.
